Community Relations

Academy consistently gives back to communities in its footprint through charitable initiatives, partnership support, and direct philanthropic giving efforts. To help deliver on its mission to provide fun for all, Academy focuses on three key areas:

Access to Sports & Outdoors: We believe in the power of sports and the outdoors to build confidence, connection, and community through youth-based programs that provide opportunities for children to participate.
Conservation: We are driven by our passion for the outdoors and proudly support programs that preserve and protect the environment, keeping it accessible for future fun outside.
First Responders: We are dedicated to strengthening first responders’ capacity to provide essential resources, addressing both everyday needs and disaster recovery, so families can enjoy the outdoors with confidence.

Submitting a Donation Request: Academy is proud of its longstanding commitment to community support and encourages customers and Team Members to submit opportunities that support initiatives that align with the following guidelines:

Must be a registered 501(c)3 organization.
The organization’s core mission must promote fun, safety, and/or responsibility within sports or outdoors and/or first responder programs that foster safer communities.
Opportunities must be on behalf of a collective group such as a school district, sports league, or non-profit that supports local communities.
Is not affiliated with religious and political organizations.
Must be based or take place within a community where an Academy Sports + Outdoors store has a local presence including Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and West Virginia.
All proposals must include city, state of the organization/activation/event, detailed description of the request, and link to website or supporting documentation, including social media accounts.
Proposals must be submitted at least 90 days in advance of the event to allow time for review and fulfillment.
Donation requests submitted through other channels will not be considered. Due to the overwhelming volume of requests, Academy respectfully reserves the right to respond only to requests that can be supported.
